Wolverhampton Arts Centre is looking for a Visual Art Tutor to lead a new block of Wednesday evening workshops for young people aged 11 to 16.
This is a fixed-term, 12-week project with the potential to extend. The sessions will focus on drawing and painting techniques and will build towards a public exhibition of participants’ work.

Pay: £35.54 per hour
Hours: 3 hours per week for 12 weeks
Session time: Wednesday evenings, 4:30pm to 7:30pm
Contract: Fixed-term, with potential for extension
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced and inspiring arts educator to plan and deliver weekly visual arts workshops for young people. The successful candidate will help participants build skills, confidence and creative ideas in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The role also includes preparing materials, setting up the space, supporting participant progress, and contributing to a final exhibition.
We’re looking for someone with:

Experience delivering visual arts workshops for young people aged 11 to 16

Strong skills in drawing and painting

A background in arts education, community arts, galleries or schools

Excellent communication skills and a warm, encouraging approach

An understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
A BA in Fine Art, or equivalent professional experience, is desirable. DBS checks will be carried out as part of the appointment process.
