Rhythms of Wolverhampton Youth (2024)

Rhythms of Wolverhampton Youth captures the vibrant voices of young people from the city, expressing their personal stories, emotions, and cultural identities. Created by youth at Beatsabar, the work reflects their lived experiences through bold visual rhythm.

Inspired by conversations around music, fashion, lifestyle, and emotional wellbeing, the group explored what matters most to them. These insights were transformed into powerful visuals using patternmaking, sound-inspired imagery, and lino printmaking.

In collaboration with a music producer and pattern artist, the group created expressive lino prints, digitally reworked into a dynamic final piece. Rhythms of Wolverhampton stands as a powerful celebration of youth culture, energy, and voice in motion.

Location: Wolverhampton Bus Station, 3 Victoria Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1LD
