A much-loved Wolverhampton band is set to return to the stage after nearly two decades away, with a special hometown performance later this year.

Bridge 55, who built a loyal following across the city in the mid-2000s, will reunite for a comeback show at Wolverhampton Arts Centre. The gig marks their first live appearance in around 19 years and promises to be a nostalgic moment for fans who remember the band’s early rise on the local music scene.

Back in the late 2000s, Bridge 55 were making serious waves. The group regularly filled venues across Wolverhampton and were reportedly close to securing a record deal before the band eventually went their separate ways.

The original line-up featured Joe Karchud on vocals, alongside guitarists Richard J Campbell and Sam Collins, Richard Willis on bass, and Luke Bryant on drums. Their energetic live shows and growing reputation at the time helped them build a passionate fanbase around the region.

Now, after years away from the stage, the band are preparing to bring those songs back to life for a special reunion performance. For many fans, it’s a chance to revisit a moment in Wolverhampton’s musical history and see a band that once seemed destined for bigger things return to where it all began.

The upcoming show will also support a good cause, with proceeds helping raise money for the Wolves Foundation, the charitable arm of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

For the band themselves, the reunion is about more than nostalgia. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with the fans who supported them in their early days and finally give those songs another outing on stage.

For Wolverhampton music lovers, it promises to be a memorable night.
