Have you ever made art on a canal boat?

This summer, hop aboard the IKON Slow Boat for a FREE, creative adventure as part of Wolverhampton: City of Youth Culture programme.

Join us for an artist led, hands on workshop, exploring the theme of ‘Reflections’ – all while cruising the canal in a converted narrow boat, with like-minded young creatives.

What to expect:
Working with a professional artist, you’ll learn a mix of experimental and traditional drawing techniques to create vibrant, colourful drawings on acetate. Then, try out metal foil embossing, making drawings onto foil, inspired by Wolverhampton’s industrial past. The artwork you create will become part of a Visual Arts Trail displayed across the city centre.

The opportunity is open to young people who live in Wolverhampton, aged between 11–16.

We will be recruiting for 2 groups of 10 people to commit to the planned workshop dates:

Cohort 1
• Tuesday 17 June, 4:15–6:30pm
• Thursday 19 June, 4:15–6:30pm

Cohort 2
• Monday 23 June, 4:15–6:30pm
• Wednesday 25 June, 4:15–6:30pm

Free to join – light refreshments will be provided.
