If you follow Wolverhampton Arts Centre on Facebook, you might have noticed something a little different about our posts recently. Our clickable links have disappeared.
Facebook has changed the way links work for Pages, which means we can no longer include them in our posts in the way we used to without paying a fairly hefty monthly fee.
For an arts centre with a busy programme and lots of different events to tell you about, that presents us with a bit of a challenge. So, we’re finding some new ways to work around it.
So, how do I find tickets?
The easiest and most reliable way is to come straight here to our website.
Head to wolverhamptonartscentre.co.uk and visit our What’s On section, where you’ll find all our upcoming shows, gigs, theatre, comedy, family performances, courses, classes and more.
Or simply search Wolverhampton Arts Centre on Google and we should be right at the top.
Where we can, we’ll also add direct ticket links to the comments underneath our Facebook posts. These are being added manually, though, so they might not always appear straight away, particularly during evenings and weekends.
Facebook is still important to us
We know from our audience data that Facebook continues to be one of the main places people discover what’s happening at Wolverhampton Arts Centre, so we’re certainly not disappearing from your news feed.
In fact, this change has got us thinking about how we use social media more generally. You might start seeing us trying a few different things, from more video and behind-the-scenes content to different ways of helping you find events you might not otherwise have come across.
And if you see something you like, please do like, comment or share it. This will really help us with this ever evolving algorithm! Those small interactions genuinely help our posts reach more people, particularly now that getting you directly from a Facebook post to our website has become a little trickier.
We’ve got plenty of ideas and workarounds to try. There might be a bit of trial and error along the way, but we’ll keep finding ways to tell you about the brilliant artists, performers, groups, classes and events happening here.
Facebook may have nicked our links, but we’re still here.
Thanks for sticking with us, and we’ll see you over on What’s On. 🩷
