Birmingham Art Circle Showcase

The Birmingham Art Circle was created in 1879 to bring artists together to encourage the exchange of new ideas and to promote professional development. It encouraged members to move beyond purely commercial or decorative art and instead pursue deeper, more symbolic and emotional content.

Today, we are an active, elected body of professional artists and craftspeople. Our regular exhibitions include diverse disciplines like photography, textiles, printworks, mixed media, sculpture and ceramics, as well as traditional painting. We continue to provide a platform for established practising artists to sell their work and engage in constructive discussion about their art. You will be able to purchase artworks and meet many of the artists exhibiting as part of the show.
